ARTIST COLLECTIVES OF GERMAN EXPRESSIONISM

Parallel to the exhibition “Franz Marc. The Feeling Deer”, large parts of the permanent exhibition will also be redesigned. The artist groups “Brücke” and “Blauer Reiter” are synonymous with Expressionism and are also considered a decisive contribution to Classical Modernism in Germany. With works by Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Erich Heckel, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, Franz Marc, Wassily Kandinsky, Alexej von Jawlensky, Gabriele Münter and many others, the diversity and development of German Expressionism can be experienced in an impressive overall exhibition.
