What is the exhibition about?
The exhibition is called: Modernity at the Zoo
A zoo is a place with many animals.
The animals come from different countries.
In a zoo, people can see the animals up close.
Franz Marc loved animals.
He often went to the zoo.
Other artists also visited zoos.
There, they saw many different animals.
This gave them new ideas for their art.
The artists were especially interested in exotic animals.
Exotic means: the animal comes from a faraway country.
For example: a tiger or a parrot.
The artists had many thoughts about animals:
Animals also have feelings.
Maybe animals think like humans.
They asked themselves:
How do animals see the world?
What do animals feel?
