The Franz Marc Museum is a gemeinnützige GmbH (incorporated non-profit organisation). By supporting the museum, you are contributing to its long-term advancement and helping us to provide an attractive and vibrant program for the public. Support our collection and restoration projects or our exhibitions and our wide-ranging art education programme.

Donations

Your contribution can take the form of financial, but also idealistic and personal support for the museum. A variety of donation options are available, including the choice of a specific purpose that is especially meaningful to you. Two support options

The Franz Marc Museum receives support from two dedicated organisations, each operating individually with a common goal: to keep Franz Marc’s art alive and enable new perspectives on twentieth-century art to be presented.

Freunde des Franz Marc Museum (Friends of the Franz Marc Museum)

Supporting art. Opening up new perspectives.

Combine your enjoyment of art with proactive involvement! Support the museum’s work of placing Franz Marc’s art in a twentieth-century context! The non-profit organisation »Die Freunde des Franz Marc Museums e.V. « (Friends of the Franz Marc Museum) has been a key supporter of the museum since 2009.

Membership fees go towards funding temporary exhibitions at the Franz Marc Museum that focus on Franz Marc as an artist, the artists of the »Brücke« and »Blue Rider« groups and twentieth-century art, particularly from the post-war period.

Acquisitions

The support of the »Die Freunde des Franz Marc Museums e.V. « enables us to add new artworks to the collection. They thus help us to devise and pursue new ways of building an understanding of the exhibits and their intellectual and historical background.

Events

The »Die Freunde des Franz Marc Museums e.V.« support events, symposia and discussion series, academic conferences and encounters on twentieth-century art and cultural history, as well as publication of the associated documentation and research findings. They enable musical events, readings and other interdisciplinary activities designed to expand and add to the museum’s range of focal topics.

Visiting the museum

As a member of the Freunde des Franz Marc Museums e.V., you receive regular details of activities at the museum and personal invitations to exhibition previews, openings and events. The association organises excursions to interesting exhibitions and events outside the museum several times a year.

Members receive free entrance to museum exhibitions and events. »Die Freunde des Franz Marc Museums« is a non-profit association. Membership fees and donations are tax-deductible.

Franz Marc Förderkreis

Working together for education, engagement and participation

The »Franz Marc Förderkreis e.V.« (Franz Marc Supporters’ Association) is an alliance of dedicated individuals in the region who support the museum in its aim of maximising the accessibility of art. It focuses on art education and engagement, driven by the philosophy that art is for everyone.

Contributing a wealth of personal commitment, ideas and local connections, the »Förderkreis« helps the museum to reach people from different social categories, age groups and cultural backgrounds.

Members receive free entrance to museum exhibitions and events. The »Franz Marc Förderkreis e.V.« is a non-profit association. Membership fees and donations are tax-deductible.

The »Förderkreis« enables:

• Workshops and creative activities for children, families and schools
• Inclusive and low-threshold education and engagement offerings
