Audio Guide
Audio guides for adults and children can be found in our web app, which can be accessed free of charge on our website. Audio guide devices can be hired from the museum ticket office.
The app is your personal companion before, during and after your visit to the museum. As well as audio guides, it offers an audio tour of the Sculpture Park and interesting facts about the museum’s founders, its architecture and the history of the collection.
Barrier-Free Access
The Franz Marc Museum is committed to providing barrier-free access to art and culture. Our goal is to provide an unrestricted and enriching museum experience to all visitors, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities.
Access and mobility
The path to the museum includes a partly steep incline, which may be challenging for some visitors. Please take this into account when planning your visit.
Visitors with limited mobility can be dropped off directly in front of the museum (access via “Alte Straße”).
Disabled parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity of the museum entrance.
Step-free access: All exhibition spaces are level or accessible via the lift.
The step-free sanitary facilities on the ground floor are equipped with grab rails and have adequate space for easy movement.
Education, engagement, communication
Our audio guides are a key element of our accessible services. They contain detailed audio descriptions of the artworks for visitors with visual impairments.
Transcriptions of the audio guides are available for visitors with hearing impairments.
Information about the museum is also provided in Easy Language to support visitors with cognitive impairments or limited language skills.
