Summer Festival at the Franz Marc Museum
On Sunday, August 30, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., we warmly invite you to our summer festival at the Franz Marc Museum – with free admission for all visitors.
Discover our collection, encounter Franz Marc, the Blue Rider and the art of modernism, and explore the current special exhibition presenting the long-overlooked artistic work of Maria Franck-Marc. Her paintings, drawings and textile works offer a surprising view of an artist who was far more than Franz Marc’s wife.
From 10:30 a.m. onwards, the Open Studio invites visitors to get creative: children, families and adults can design, experiment and take part in hands-on activities. Throughout the day, various workshops and activities will take place in the BlauRaum, in the park and around the museum. Guided tours of the collection and the special exhibition will offer deeper insights and invite visitors to engage in conversations about art, colour, nature and history.
Refreshments will also be available: the museum café Franz am See will be serving snacks, coffee specialities, drinks and homemade ice cream. In good weather, picnic blankets in the park invite you to relax and enjoy the day.
We look forward to a summery day full of art, encounters and creativity.
